The Specification for S/W Presentation
Input :
- No. of players (min – 2, max – 4).
- One among the players has to be the computer.
Initial Scenario :
- The game is to be played with one dice.
- Each player has 4 coins at his home as shown.
Aim :
The aim is to reach the center with all 4 coins from the starting position (circle near his home) by following a particular path.
Game Description :
A player can move a coin out of his home to the starting square (the square enclosing the circle indicated by an arrow in the diag.) only when he throws one. After that, he has to move the coins only in clockwise direction through the non-shaded squares (the path containing empty squares, squares with circles or cross signs). Finally, to reach center, the player will move through the shaded region adjacent to his starting position. This is safe region, as one player cannot enter any other players shaded region. The squares with cross sign or circle are called safe squares.
When a player en-route the above path lands in a square where there is / are some opponent’s coin/coins, the opponent coin/coins is said to be cut & sent back to his respective home. If the coins are at safe squares, they can’t be cut.
Winner:
The player who reaches the center with all the four coins is the winner.
Criteria:
- A player throwing six will get bonus chance to throw again
- A player can skip only if he is not able to make any moves.
- A coin has to be moved that many squares equivalent to the number on dice.
The Best Software will be selected based on:
· User Interface
· Efficiency of the program
· Presentation Skills
· Efficient Usage of coins etc.
The softcopy of the S/W has to reach us before 18th August 2001 only through courier / Post (No Mails entertained). Finalist will be intimated through Mail, they have to give demonstration.
